Maximizing Your Session: How To Prepare For A Full Dose

Before we talk about the best way to prepare for a session, we need to define what a full dose is. For our purposes, a full dose is either 3.5 grams of dried psilocybin mushrooms or a full chocolate bar which is 4 grams. While the below rules apply to any dosage, they become increasingly important as the dosage goes up.

Being prepped and prepared, instead of frantic and worried is the first step towards creating the perfect set & setting. Now, here is the best way to prep for your adventure.

  1. Revisit Your Intention:  Sit down and spend some time revisiting the intention you have already set for your session. Clear your mind of any preconceived thoughts and be open to new ideas.

  2. Give Yourself Enough Time: You do not want to feel rushed! Make sure you won't be bothered for at least 6 hours after ingesting. I recommend 7 - 8 hours to be safe, plus it gives you time for boosters.

  3. Healthy Food & Low Caffeine:  Pretty straightforward but you want your body and mind operating at its peak for the experience. Eat clean and limit the amount of caffeine 12 hours before ingesting.

  4. No Alcohol or THC:  Again, let's keep the body clean. I recommend no alcohol for 24 hours before the session and 12 hours for THC.

  5. Get Prepped Prior To Ingestion:  Depending on your session, you may need to prepare for what awaits you. If you're going on a walk or a hike, get dressed & pack your essentials before ingesting. There is nothing worse than trying to figure out what to wear or what to bring while they're starting to kick in.

  6. Know You're Route:  Again, if you're leaving the house make sure you know where you're going and where you have opportunities to find some privacy in case things become too intense. Also and most importantly, plan your stops to align with your peaks to maximize the experience.

Now the only thing to do is enjoy the beautiful ride because before anything else, preparation is the key to success.
